Steppe Singer, Urna Chahar Tugchi from Ordos, Inner Mongolia, is to
re-visit Mongolia. Urna is to stage the performance “Heavenly Bird”
live for Mongolians in Ulaanbaatar in the State Academic Theatre of
Opera and Ballet on May 29th.
Activists` group “Pantuun dohio” (Лантуун дохио) launched a movement
against human trafficking, holding their first photo exhibition
“Movement against violation", on Sunday May 5th in the Art House Center.
Artist J.Gerel transformed tree stumps by carving them into pink bunnies
with aggrieved and anguished faces. The artist felt sorry about human
activity destroying the forest, so decided to help the trees to express
how they feel and how they suffer by human hands.
The throat singer Sainkho Namtchylak is to perform in Mongolia on April
28th. She is renowned in the west but less well-known in the east. The
performance will be held once at the ILoft Function house at 7:00 pm on
April 28th.
A musical based on William Shakespeare"s play Romeo and Juliet, with
music and lyrics by Gerard Presgurvic is to be staged in Mongolia. This
will be the first time the musical of Romeo and Juliet will be performed
in Asia.
